Writing Obama postcards to FLORIDA voters

Here's our contact, an Obama Field Organizer in Tampa, Florida. He wrote, in his message to me: "I’m very excited about having your help on this. Below are a few samples to work from besides the one that you had in the email you sent. As for the mail, I’m going to have you send the bulk to our HQ in Tampa. Just address the package to me."

Here are instructions:

a. Write your postcards with the message about why you are voting for Obama. Postcards can be any design on the front, or plain--whatever you like. If you can't write these by hand, it's fine to type out labels with your message on it and stick them on. Some of us are buying these already stamped, from the Post Office. Also identify yourself briefly (age, occupation, etc.)

b. Put one postage stamp on the front of each card, unless you've bought them already stamped.
c. Mail your cards in one package, to the following name and address. Their office will addres the cards and mail them out to voters:

Here are some sample messages sent by the Tampa office:

Dear Florida voter,
I am a 78-year-old retiree and Korean War veteran, urging you to vote for Obama for President. We need a leader who understands the importance of diplomacy, will strengthen Social Security and won’t be surrounded by special interests in Washington. We need a leader who shares our values, fights for our principles and who will restore the American Dream for my grandchildren.

Dear Florida voter,
I am a 25-year-old school teacher, urging you to vote for Obama for President. We need a leader who understands the value of public education, who will restore our standing abroad while protecting us from threats, and believes a strong middle class means a strong America. We need a leader who is not afraid to reach across party lines and will bring change we need to Washington.

Dear Florida voter,
I am a 51-year-old small business owner, urging you to vote for Obama for President. We need a leader who will fight for Floridians by supporting the National Catastrophe Fund, gives tax breaks to the middle class not the super rich, and work to ensure affordable healthcare for all Floridians. We need a leader who understands the struggles of Florida’s middle class families and will inspire the change we need in our state.

Dear Florida voter,
I am a 37-year-old farmer, urging you to vote for Obama for President. We need a leader who will rebuild our crumbling roads and infrastructure, work with rural communities to fight drug use, and help small farmers compete on the open market. We need a leader who won’t forget about our rural communities and understands how important they are to restoring the American Dream.
