Pennsylvania

Please work on this one first. This Field Organizer is in Pittsburgh, the East Liberty section, a combined population of Black, professional and blue collar. (I'm from Pittsburgh, so know this well.) This is fertile Obama territory so we need to get out all the vote we can, including making sure potential voters are registered by Oct. 4. Here are the instructions:

A. Write as many postcards as you want, with the message about why you are voting for Obama.
Postcards can be any design on the front, or plain--whatever you like.
If you can't write these by hand, it's fine to type out labels with you message on it and stick them on. Some of us are buying blank postcards already stamped, from the Post Office

Include this reminder: "Please be sure you register to vote before October 4." This registration \deadline is the reason we should do these cards first.\ Also identify yourself briefly (age, occupation, etc.)

Here is a sample message:

"Dear PA Voter,
I am a 70-year-old grandmother and teacher. Please join me in voting for Barack Obama for President. He is a unifier who can bring the country back, as well as a wise statesman, able to deal with our problems of Iraq, the economy, health care, education and the environment. And please be sure you register to vote before October 4.

Tela Zasloff, Williamstown, MA"

b. Put one postage stamp on the front of each card.

c. Mail your cards in one package, to the following name and address. Their office will address the cards and mail them.
